Short Pump Trip

Yesterday Noel and I headed out to Short Pump to meet up with my friend Allison and her little boy, Ronan. We live an hour apart from each other, so we decided to meet up!

Ronan was born a few weeks early, so he's really 2 months older than Noel. We had lunch at the Bakers Crust (mmmm!) and walked around the mall for the better part of the afternoon. It was nice to talk to another mom that is going through the same things that we are, and that I can go baby clothes shopping with :)

It was a rather nasty day, cold and rainy, and the Short Pump mall is outside...but it was fun nonetheless! I wasn't prepared for the weather, and next time I will be prepared for any and all possibilities!

Noel's eye was really swollen yesterday. Her tear duct has been clogged since birth, and I think it might be starting to get infected. :( I am calling the doctor tomorrow for instruction. I keep trying to unclog it by massaging the duct with a warm washcloth, but it doesn't seem to be getting better.

I tried to get her to take a nap while we were out, but she wanted nothiing to do with it! She kept grabbing stuff and putting it in her mouth, and jus tlooking around at all the activity. I thought for sure she'd be fussy last night, but she wasn't. She just wanted to go to bed.

This morning she woke up at 6:30 (as usual) but wanted her bottle at 730, and wanted to go back down for a nap at 8. She's now taking her second nap of the day! I will let her sleep as much as she needs...but I won't get to see her as much today!

Here is a pic from yesterday:

Look at Noel's left eye...:( Poor baby! It does seem to look
better today though.

Wearing her cute pink hat!
