2-year checkup

Noel's 2 year appointment went just splendidly. :) She still isn't afraid to go there, but I imagine it might have something to do with the fact that she hasn't had a vaccination since she was just over 12 months old.

She was supposed to receive a Hepatitis A booster at 18 months, but her doctor said we could just wait until 2-year. THEN, at her appointment on Wednesday, Dr. Mayo said that the Hep A vaccine was on "backorder". Whatever! We're not in a rush! ;-)

She did say that the "new" recommendation was to receive a Prevnar booster (another one) at 2 years, but I would rather wait and do both at once instead of one this year and one next.

ANYWAY, Noel just loves Dr. Mayo. She was checking her lungs/heart and as she would take her stethescope off and move it to another spot, Noel would clap her hands and yell "YAYY!" It was so cute.

Dr. Mayo said that Noel is growing perfectly and doing wonderfully, as usual. Her stats are:

24.8 lbs
34 inches tall

At 12 months they were:
18 lbs 9 oz
28.8 inches tall

And at birth they were:
7 lbs 3 oz
19.5 inches long

So that's roughly 18 lbs and 14.5" in two years.

She's a tall, lean little thing. Her 2T clothes fit her length-wise, but not in girth - her shirts are baggy and pants need belts ;-)

I will have to get used to not having so many well-visits...she had 6 her first year, and 4 this past year. Now she won't have another until she's 3! Hopefully we won't have to go back for anything else this year.

She did receive the flu mist in her nose - she was even excited about that. After each nostril, she did her clapping and yelling. She's too funny!
