Our power went out on Friday night, so Tim went ahead and got the woodstove going. We didn't want to wake Noel, so we waited for her to wake up herself, and then I brought her into bed with me around 3 AM. Sleeping with her would be kind of nice and cuddly if she wasn't such a crazy sleeper! She constantly squirmed and rotated, keeping me up. Tim stayed downstairs near the woodstove to get it going, and Noel and I slept upstairs. It got down to 62, but that's not that bad considering it only came down 5 degrees!
By 8:30 AM, the power came back on! It kept switching on/off but generally stayed on until the afternoon, then went back out for a few hours. We've been really fortunate though, because thousands of people in the area were without power for a lot longer!
Now we're in the process of digging ourselves out, which is SUPER tough, since all of the snow/sleet/freezing rain is hard as rock. I'm glad we at least parked at the end of our driveway! Tim's been working on it for the past 2 hours+.
Noel loves going outside, and we've been out a few times since it's started - we're getting really good use out of her snow suit! I just LOVE her little hat!
These photos are awesome! Noel is so adorable!Glad to see you guys were lucky! We just got power back!
