2010 - A New Start

I apologize for being MIA for these past few weeks. Things have been so busy! I started my classes this week, and we've had to reorganize our schedules.

After Christmas, I was busy trying to coordinate a babysitter/daycare arrangement for Noel, on my class days. One day a week, she will be staying with Tami. Tami is a woman that contacted me about a childcare swap arrangement. She's also a student, and needed a babysitter for her two children on Fridays for a couple of hours. In exchange, she will watch Noel one half-day a week. We've had a few playdates over the past couple of months for all of us to get better acquainted. I think it's going to work out PERFECTLY, and I'm really excited to have them over every week. Her little boy is 2.5 years old, and her little girl is 11 months.

On the other day, we've worked it out for Tim to watch her. I don't know what we'll do next semester, or in the fall when my schedule REALLY picks up, but for now this is perfect!

I've applied for the nursing program that starts this Fall, but I won't know their decision until May. I'm taking two classes now - one of which has a lab. I know that the next few years will be challenging to say the least, but I am SO excited to start anew. I really feel like this is what I'm supposed to do with my life!

So other than school-related stuff, Tim and I attended his roommate's wedding (his roommate from Academy) last weekend in Floyd County. We couldn't take Noel, but Tim and I had a great night!

As far as Noel goes, she's been saying lots of new words lately! She will try to say "Padme" and point at the dog. She will purposefully get her leg wedged between the recliner and the lever on the side and say "stuck!".

Her vocabulary consists of: Hi, Howdy, Sock, Shoe, Mama, Dada, Stuck, Padme, Kitty, Nasty, More, and Night Night.

I've been trying to get her to nod her head 'yes' or 'no', and she will NOT do it. At least, she won't nod 'yes'. All she knows is 'no'! Go figure!
