Another milestone!

Okay, so Tim has been hoarding the digital camera I use for videos in his truck, so I haven't been able to take as many. BUT I took some today and thought I'd upload one to show off Noel's new skill.

Another milestone met (or almost)!! Last night Noel was "chewing" on my fingers and I felt something hard in her mouth. I was getting ready to fish out whatever it was that was in there, and I noticed that it was a TOOTH right beneath her gumline. AHHHH! For some reason I expected her teeth to come in late. You can't see it yet, but I'll be sure to post pictures when it makes its appearance. It seems like she's just growing too fast...which I guess is expected, but it just makes me cherish the time I have with her now. That's why I take so many pictures and videos - because she changes every week!!

Noel had her first meltdown in a public place yesterday. I was in C'ville running some errands and stopped at Target. I was pushing her around in her stroller, and she was getting a little bit fussy (for some reason her laugh and also her "fussy" cry sound almost like a cough, and sometimes it's hard to tell a difference - eventually, if it's a fussy cry, it'll escalate)

So I got out a bottle (an empty one) and offered it to her to see if that's what she wanted, or if she was just tired. She grabbed for it really quick and tried putting it in her mouth, so I took it away to mix the formula. She freaked out! I know it must have seemed like I was teasing her and I felt bad for that, but as soon as she saw me pouring the milk into the bottle, she stopped immediately. She didn't get very good naps yesterday and around 5:00, she was basically begging to go down for the night, but I somehow held her out until 6:45.

I got my hair cut yesterday, fixed my cell phone, got a new baby tub for her, and also a swimsuit. Then I stopped by the Goodwill to get some stuffed animals for the dogs (Padme tears them up, so there's no point in buying "nice" ones. They are $.50 a piece!)

Oh, and we took Padme to the vet on Friday night. She's been having incontinence issues (which is extremely abnormal), plus she hadn't had her shots yet this year. Noel was happy as a clam the whole time - looking around. Luckily Tim had time to meet us there so he handled her, while I dealt with Padme (who is extremely afraid of the veterinarian due to one incidence where they tried to hold her down and clip her nails. Oye!)

Anyway, it turned out she has a UTI - so she's on heavy-duty antibiotics and she's already started feeling better I believe.

Tim's mom and sister-in-law Vickie are coming up today, so I will probably upload pictures of their visit this evening.
