Where to begin? Life has been quite hectic for us with little Noel in our lives. I have had some daycare issues here in the beginning...Our first babysitter looked after her for one week before giving us her notice!
But now she's at a new daycare and I believe she likes it. "Miss Holly" has been looking after children in her own home for nearly 20 years now, and it's obvious that Noel is happy there. She's finally starting to sleep better at night, and also during the day. Last night was a record - she slept for 7 hours, uninterrupted! I was impressed!
She's starting to learn how to use her hands...she can reach out and grab toys, and she usually takes them straight to her mouth. She's been teething for awhile now, but i doubt we'll see any teeth for months!
She's laughed a few times, which is just adorable! I need to get it on video!
She also smiles back at you and she turns her face, almost like she is embarrassed. It's too cute!
Over Christmas, I was able to visit with Grandma, Grandpa, Jimmie, and Pat. We had some dinner and then we took some pictures. Grandma was acting like herself again, playing with Noel. It was really heartwarming to see them together! Here are some pictures of us:
We also had a lot of fun visiting w/Tim's family and just enjoying our first Christmas w/her. We weren't able to visit the Elks home to see the Christmas light display...our annual tradition that I haven't missed for the 9 years we've been together...and I think it had been 24 years for Tim, of visiting the Elks home. Oh well! We're hoping next year she'll be in a better mood :)
